Legislative Initiatives
Building the onsite wastewater industry of Missouri
Missouri Smallflows Organization (MSO) works towards positive regulation for our industry professionals to provide technologies to treat wastewater for the citizens of Missouri. Certified professionals provide a higher quality service to protect public health and the environment when treating wastewater in Missouri.
Federal Initiatives
MSO participates as a member of the NOWRA Board of Governors to promote awareness of the decentralized wastewater industry. This advocacy effort works to build stronger relationship with federal agencies and legislators to fund programs for onsite wastewater projects.
State Initiatives
MSO works with stakeholders to make changes at the state level when needed. The Association works to keep it’s members informed of issues in front of our industry.
We continue to build relationships with state legislators to build awareness of our industry and importance we have on the local economies.
2026 Legislative Work
This bill has passed both the Senate and House. It’s next step is to be reviewed and signed by Governor Kehoe.
There was a companion bill, House Bill 2395, that was worked on this year too. We appreciate everyone’s support on this issue this year!
